Mallorca isn't just Rafa Nadal's island – it's one of the best places in Europe to play padel on holiday. Year-round outdoor weather, clubs in every town, and a local scene that's genuinely welcoming to visiting players. Here's how to get on court, whether you're in Palma for a weekend or spending the season on the island.
Where to Play Padel in Mallorca
Mallorca sits at the heart of Spain's padel boom — browse all padel clubs in Spain on Smash, then narrow to island favourites below.
Smash lists more than 50 clubs across the island, with the biggest concentration around the capital:
- Padel clubs in Palma – nearly 40 venues in and around the city, from large multi-court centres to neighbourhood clubs
- Manacor – Nadal's hometown takes its racket sports seriously
- Resort areas in the southwest and the bays in the north have clubs within a short drive of most hotels
Most venues are outdoor (this is Mallorca, after all), with covered courts available for the occasional rainy winter day.
What a Court Costs
Courts rent per court, per hour or per 90 minutes, split between four players – by northern European standards, Mallorca is pleasantly affordable. Evening slots are peak, especially in summer when locals wait out the afternoon heat; mornings are the easy window for visitors. Live prices for every bookable slot show in the Smash app before you pay.
Tips for Visiting Players
- Book evenings ahead. From June to September, the 19:00–22:00 slots fill up with local league players and regulars.
- Morning padel is a holiday cheat code. Courts are free, temperatures are kind, and you're done in time for the beach.
- Need a fourth player? Many clubs run open americano tournaments and mix-in sessions – check the club's events in the app or ask at the desk.
- Racket rental is standard. No need to sacrifice cabin luggage space.
How to Book Online
- Download the Smash app or open our club finder – fully in English.
- Search Palma (or wherever you're staying) and filter for padel.
